Lawyer Bingzi Hu

Lawyer Bingzi Hu graduated from Georgia State University College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in May, 2012.  In 2014, she obtained an LL.M. degree in Federal Criminal Defense and Practices from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.  Bingzi is originally from China.  Prior to coming to the United States, she received a Master’s degree in Civil and Commercial Law magna cum laude from Beijing Technology and Business University.

Bingzi has been admitted to the Georgia Bar since July, 2013. Additionally, she has been admitted to the Northern District of Georgia Federal Court, the Middle District of Georgia Federal Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.  At L. David Wolfe, P.C., she engages in a variety of criminal cases at both state and federal levels, including “pill mill” cases, securities fraud, bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, money laundering, etc.  She is also an integral part of the research and investigation of the civil and administrative law cases which come to the firm.

Prior to 2009, Bingzi worked in Beijing for Westlaw as an Editor for its China law database.  In November 2003, she took part in a legislation project initiated by Mr. Tian Wang, Deputy to the National People’s Congress of China, drafting the Law of Mega Stores. This project was reported by media as “the very first time a Deputy to the NPC proposes a complete suggestion draft of law in China.”  The draft was later partly adopted by Ministry of Commerce of China. Her paper To Promote Sustainable Development of Urban Commercial Circle with Legislation was published.

Bingzi is active in serving the community and enthusiastic in bridging cultures between the United States and China.  She serves as the Secretary and board member of the National Association of Chinese-Americans (NACA), a non-profit organization.  In December 2015, she represented NACA in hosting the China Judicial Reform Committee Delegation consisting of Senior Judges and officials from the Supreme Court of China.  In October 2011 she attended the 16th U.S.-China Legal Exchange.  In November 2010 she served as an executive committee member of NACA’s U.S.-China Business Conference.  She also published many articles at Atlanta’s local Chinese newspapers.
